Frequently asked questions
Is the free invoice generator really unlimited?
Yes. Create and download as many invoices, receipts, quotes and estimates as you like, with no account, no watermark and no usage caps. The free tier isn't a trial and doesn't expire. Free PDFs carry one small footer line, "Made with invoicegenerators.net", and your invoices stay in your browser.
What does Pro add?
Pro adds cloud sync across devices, saved clients and items, invoice history with paid and unpaid status, recurring invoices, automatic email reminders and sending invoices by email from the app. It also adds payment links printed on the invoice as text and a QR code, four premium templates, and removes the footer line.
How does the 7-day free trial work?
Start Pro and you get 7 days to use every Pro feature before your first charge. Cancel in the customer portal before the trial ends and you won't be charged. If you keep Pro, your subscription begins when the trial ends and renews monthly or yearly until you cancel.
How do I cancel?
Cancel any time in the customer portal, which you can open from the billing page in your account settings. There's no cancellation fee. Pro stays active until the end of the period you've already paid for, and then your account moves to the free plan.
Who processes my payment?
Dodo Payments acts as the merchant of record for Pro subscriptions. It handles billing, charges any sales tax or VAT due on your subscription and sends your receipts. We never see or store your full card number.
Can I get a refund?
If Pro isn't working for you, email us within 14 days of a charge and we'll refund it. Write to hello@invoicegenerators.net from the email address on your account so we can find your subscription.
What happens to my invoices if I downgrade?
They're kept. Your invoices, clients and saved items stay in your account when Pro ends. Pro-only features, such as recurring invoices, automatic reminders and sending by email, pause until you upgrade again, and the free generator keeps working as before.
Can I switch between monthly and yearly billing?
Yes. Open the customer portal from the billing page in your account settings to change plans, or email hello@invoicegenerators.net and we'll switch it for you. Current prices for both plans are on this page.
